Working to improve the world one word at a time by helping to take the stress out of writing for students, authors, and small businesses.
Specializing in helping students write doctorate dissertations since 2011, but I am happy to help anyone in the writing process at any skill level. Clients have spanned from Korea, Jordan, Kenya, to Mexico and many points between, often using English as a second or third language. Subjects have ranged from Archeology, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Education, fiction and poetry, Social Sciences, and any other field. So far, I have assisted over 150 students complete doctoral defenses with a 100% success rate. Additionally, I work with academics and students to make edits and suggestions for changes prior to submitting to peer-reviewed international journals, with a high rate of acceptance.
A personal passion is to help people who may not be advanced writers, but who have a great story that needs to be told. The most fulfilling part of this work comes from getting to help amazing people break through major cultural, economic, gender, and social constructs to accomplish their dream of publication, or earning a degree. This feeling increases by seeing these clients go on to help so many more people in their professions or with their story. I want to help marginalized or suppressed information see the light of day, and work with people to have a voice and tell their story. I want to help writers and artists who have been rejected for being too controversial by the traditional publishing companies, but that the world needs to hear.
I have built a global clientele over the years largely from referrals by being easy to work with, reliable, and providing high quality assistance. Feedback is provided using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, and build confidence in students and potentially unassured writers. I also provide a laid-back and relaxed, but direct and reliable, attitude for clients who are often highly stressed students living far away from home. My background includes a master's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri, one of the top journalism schools in the country. While in undergraduate and graduate school, I frequently tutored and edited papers for international classmates. These experiences taught me how interesting it was to help and interact with people from other countries, and it solidified my desire to become a professional editor. Since then, I have gained professional writing and editing experience working for radio, newspapers, and authors. In 2011, I created this writing and advising business and have enjoyed working with students, professors, and authors from all over the world.
